At 14 Automotive, we believe in supporting the local community just as much as we do in delivering top-quality vehicle services. That’s why we’re proud to announce our joint sponsorship with Carbody (Banbury) Ltd of Banbury Rugby Union Football Club (Banbury RUFC), strengthening our ties with the town and its sporting community.
A New Era for 14 Automotive
14 Automotive is the new name for Wheel Deal Tyres, which was acquired by Carbody (Banbury) Ltd last year. This exciting rebrand marks a new chapter, blending the trusted services of Wheel Deal Tyres with the expertise, leadership, and resources of Carbody (Banbury) Ltd, a family-run independent bodyshop established in 1979. With decades of experience, BS10125 Kitemark accreditation, and 11 Manufacturer Approvals, Carbody (Banbury) Ltd ensures that 14 Automotive continues to offer the highest standards in vehicle care.
Our services now extend across cars, vans, motorhomes, and fleets, covering alloy wheel refurbishment, precision wheel alignment, comprehensive tyre care, and more. Though our name has changed, our commitment to friendly, reliable, and tailored customer service remains the same.
A Vehicle for the Community
As part of our sponsorship, 14 Automotive and Carbody (Banbury) Ltd have provided Banbury RUFC with a fully branded community coaches’ vehicle. This van will be used by the club’s rugby coaches to deliver sessions in local schools and community groups, making rugby more accessible to both abled and disabled participants. The initiative aims to inspire young players, promote physical activity, and ensure that rugby is available to everyone, regardless of background or ability.

Upon receiving the vehicle, Banbury RUFC’s Director of Rugby, Matt Goode, expressed his appreciation:
“This sponsorship is a game-changer for our community outreach. Having a dedicated vehicle allows us to bring the sport to more young players, schools, and groups, ensuring that rugby remains at the heart of Banbury. We’re incredibly grateful to 14 Automotive and Carbody for their support—it’s partnerships like these that make a real difference.”
The vehicle was officially handed over ahead of last Saturday’s senior match between Banbury Bulls and Syston. It was a closely fought contest, with the Bulls mounting an impressive second-half comeback, but just falling short, with Syston clinching the win 21-17.
Match Day Sponsorship and Celebrations
In addition to providing the community vehicle, 14 Automotive and Carbody (Banbury) Ltd were also the proud match day sponsors. The packed hospitality event featured a three-course meal, a raffle, keynote speeches, and a great afternoon of rugby. Making it a true family affair, we hosted a table of 10, enjoying the camaraderie and passion that Banbury RUFC is known for.
After the match, our Founders and Managing Director, Leon Smith, took to the pitch to present the 1st XV Player of the Match award, which was jointly awarded to Quinten Blythe and Matt Dandy. Both players put in exceptional performances, working tirelessly in the backs and forwards respectively.

Speaking about the sponsorship, Leon Smith said:
“We’re honoured to support Banbury RUFC—not just on match days but throughout the season with the community coaching vehicle. Local sports clubs play such an important role in bringing people together, and we’re proud to be part of that journey. We look forward to seeing the vehicle in action, making rugby more accessible and inspiring the next generation of players.”
A Proud Partnership
At 14 Automotive, we are committed to giving back to the local community, whether through our automotive services or initiatives like this sponsorship. Banbury RUFC is a fantastic club with a strong community spirit, and we are delighted to support them both on and off the pitch.
We look forward to seeing the impact of the community coaching vehicle and to continuing our partnership with Banbury RUFC in the seasons ahead.
Welcome to 14 Automotive: A new name, the same dedication to excellence—both on the road and in the community.
